Due to the remote and rural location there were numerous challenges in the sourcing, supply and management of the type of roles and trades required including:
As CS Wind is the only remaining commercial scale UK based offshore wind turbine manufacturer, they require specific skills and experience, particularly in the aspect of welding where we have been required to recruit personnel with EN9606-136 manual coding as well as EN121 Tandem Sub Arc skills unique to this industry.
Due to the variety of roles, skills and experience required we employed a specialist resourcing team with established connections outside the UK to support in the provision of suitably qualified workers and BRS organised all transport and accommodation requirements to look after the requirements of the new contractors.
Due to the high number of BRS contractors on site we appointed an experienced account manager as a main point of contact who was in charge of site inductions for new starts. Our BRS senior account manager visits the site weekly for meetings to discuss requirements with staff.
BRS fulfilled the brief providing CS Wind with the necessary workforce and skills required to allow them to meet their production and end customer requirements and have built up an exceptional working relationship.
