Transport Manager

BRS are seeking a Transport/Fleet Manager with a background in vehicle maintenance to join our highly successful Client based in Glasgow.

Our Client is a leading industrial service provider, specialising in highly regulated works including tank installation/removal, undertaking inspections and cleaning as well as decommissioning works often of a bespoke nature. Due to the high quality of delivery, rapid expansion is underway and we are looking for the right individual to join an already thriving team.

In your new role you will be responsible for:

• Manage the overall transport operations and fleet of the company
• Manage all driver compliance & performance, ensuring licences/cards are kept up to date as well as any adhoc training
• Organise & manage maintenance schedule of the fleet ensuring all servicing/MOT/repairs are scheduled & undertaken in a timely manor with minimal disruption to operations
• Ensure all paperwork & systems are accurate & up to date at all times
• Take ownership of onboarding process for new drivers, from initial recruitment to inductions/training
• Build fleet to ensure operational success & develop/manage relationship with 3rd party suppliers where required
• Transport budget management
• Drive continuous improvement & continue to enhance the companies image by upholding the desired standards

• CPC holder
• Experience in industrial services
• Background in vehicle maintenance
• Excellent leadership qualities
• Strong people skills & hands on to support the team at all times
• Strong data anaylysis skills with the ability to spot trends & interpret data
• Motivated to contribute to the success of the team & business
